I’m adding a new feature this week because I can… and because I hope you like it. It is a feature on movies I like that, if I haven’t already I plan at some point to share with my kids… some of these are probably ones you may not have heard of, some you may have forgotten, but all will be awesome and you should be able to watch them all with your kids by the time they are 13. Each time I post a movie I will add it to my Movie List which will have a link to where you can buy the movie if you want it for your own collection.
This week…. we have The Last Dragon:
This is the one that started it all. The Last Dragon. The music is great if you are a fan of the 80’s (The album is on iTunes and yes I bought it). If you get the DVD the commentary will give you a bit of a laugh too (apparently they thought this movie was on par with a cure for cancer.) Bruce Leroy or Leroy Greene Jr. is an aspiring Kung Fu student… who is seeking the path to the “Final Level” when he will achieve “The Glow”. The path takes him to meet music video maven Laura Charles (played by Vanity) and ultimately to battle Sho’Nuff the Shogun of Harlem. This is a mashup of Bruce Lee movies and set in Harlem. It is absolutely fun to watch… and has some stars… before they were stars: Keshia Knight Pulliam, Ernie Reyes Jr, and William H. Macy. If you like Kung Fu, like 80’s music, like to laugh… and if you are nostalgic for the 80’s this is up your alley!
Who is the master?
